Shakira

Fully qualified instructor:

Shakira was introduced to pole dancing in 2015 by a close friend and immediately fell in love with the sport, as a welcome alternative to the gym which she finds incredibly boring! She loves pole dancing as a way to stay fit, boost your confidence and develop a higher level of love for yourself. It quickly became a regular hobby, as a great way to combine her love for strength training, calisthenics and crossFit.

Following the birth of her daughter she reignited her love for her favourite hobby as a way to regain her confidence as sexy babe! She trained as an instructor to bring the joy and love for her favourite sport to other women and mothers as a way to remind them to love themselves, their bodies, to stay fit and embrace the hips, dips and bodily changes that come with creating life. She loves the community of pole, the love and support felt in classes and the sense of achievement, and as an instructor her hope is to ignite the same feelings she has felt along her journey and create a safe space for those of all ethnicities, sizes and genders.

Shakira loves learning new tricks and combining them to create beautiful flows and transitions and prefers being up the pole without putting a foot on the floor. Her goal as an instructor is to help you overcome your fears and push you towards achieving new moves, show you what your body is capable of, unlock your sensual self and discover your own style all whilst having fun!

Zahia
Fully qualified instructor:

Certified pole dance instructor.

Zahia began her pole dance journey in 2018, not knowing where it would take her. What started as a curiosity and a desire to try something new has since transformed into a deep passion that has shaped both her body and confidence.

Whether it’s a graceful flow, an acrobatic sequence, or something in between, pole dance allows for limitless interpretation. That’s why, as a teacher, she doesn’t just focus on any one style— she encourages students to find their own voice and build their skills at their own pace.

Georgina

Georgina is a UK based professional circus artist and dancer.  introduced to pole dance in 2019 by a very close friend and fell in love with the art form and the supportive nature of the pole community. Georgina’s focus is on exploring the sensuality of movement and is particularly passionate about using pole as a platform to improve and celebrate people's self-confidence, fitness and mobility. Georgina has directed and performed my first pole exhibition piece in 2021 in collaboration with pink-Collar Gallery, Redcar Palace and Tees Arts Valley inspired by the exploration of how pole dance can be used as a medium for trauma survivors to reclaim agency over autonomy and reimagine their relationship with their sensuality. I love teaching pole, and watching student become more confident as they discover the magic of pole dance!
